Our goal: to impart the highest level of skills to make you a qualified and responsible osteopath.
Full-time and in-person program over 4 years
Throughout their 4-year curriculum, our students receive comprehensive theoretical and practical training, guided by our therapist-professors (refer to the detailed program). Students also have the option to complete an additional year exclusively dedicated to the thesis (making the program 5 years in total).

Thesis |
By the end of their academic curriculum, osteopathy students have accumulated over 3,000 actual hours of classes. This hourly volume aligns with the recommendations of the Office des professions du Québec and the World Health Organization.
The rigor of our training allows final-year students to join a professional association (status of Osteopathic Intern) and practice outside the school.
Observation Internship
Our students participate in a 2nd-year observation internship. Through this clinical experience, future practitioners refine their manipulation techniques, exercise their analytical skills, and develop their diagnostic judgment, while also learning to build a healthy helping relationship.
Thesis
During their studies, students write a thesis that they must submit in the final year (thesis fees are included in the tuition cost). Details below.
Professional associations
The training at IEOQ is recognized by various professional osteopath associations, including Ostéopathie Québec and RITMA (contact these organizations for more information on membership criteria). The choice of association is at the discretion of the student.

Year 5
The fifth year is exclusively dedicated to the completion of the end-of-study thesis (students who have chosen to complete their program in 4 years will need to prepare their thesis while taking 4th-year courses).
During this 5th year, your status as an Osteopathy Intern also allows you to practice osteopathy outside the school (multidisciplinary clinic, home office, etc.).

Thesis
The end-of-study thesis is submitted:
- At the end of the 4th year for students who have chosen the 4-year program: the thesis is then written in parallel with the completion of the final year courses.
- At the end of the 5th year for those who have chosen the 5-year program: in this case, the 5th year is exclusively dedicated to the completion of the thesis.
- At the end of the 7th year for those who have chosen the 7-year program.
