Since 1995, the Quebec Institute of Osteopathic Education has been training the next generation of osteopaths in Quebec.

More than 30 years of experience, over 4,000 hours of in-person training, an active teaching clinic, and personalized support make IEOQ one of the pioneering institutions in osteopathic education in Quebec.

1. More than 30 years of experience in osteopathic education

Founded in Montreal in 1995, the Quebec Institute of Osteopathic Education is one of the pioneering institutions in osteopathic education in Quebec.

For more than three decades, we have supported students from diverse backgrounds in developing a rigorous and responsible professional practice.

2. A comprehensive program with over 4,000 hours of in-person training

Osteopathy is a hands-on profession that requires both strong theoretical knowledge and the progressive development of practical skills, all acquired through in-person learning.

  • Progressive learning of osteopathic techniques.
  • Development of clinical reasoning skills.
  • Direct supervision by instructors.
  • Extensive supervised practical training.
  • Immersion in a stimulating professional environment.

3. An active teaching clinic integrated into the curriculum

The teaching clinic is a central component of training at IEOQ. It allows students to apply their knowledge with real patients in a safe and supervised environment. Each session is supervised by experienced osteopaths who guide students in developing their clinical judgment and professional competencies.

4. Experienced and dedicated clinician-instructors

The IEOQ teaching team is composed of active healthcare professionals who share their expertise and real-world experience with students.

This close connection to clinical practice allows us to provide practical, up-to-date instruction directly aligned with the realities of professional practice.

5. Small class sizes that promote student success

We believe that the quality of education depends not only on the curriculum, but also on the quality of student support.

  • Personalized guidance.
  • Regular feedback.
  • Meaningful interaction with instructors.
  • Support tailored to each student’s needs.

6. Valuable internships and partnerships

IEOQ develops partnerships with various organizations to provide students with opportunities to explore different practice settings and better understand the needs of diverse client populations.

These experiences enrich their education and facilitate their integration into the professional environment.

We would like to thank our partners, Institut d’Enseignement Rennes-Bretagne, La Maison Bleue and the Montreal Sports Council, for their trust and collaboration.
