Founded in 1995 in Montreal, the Institut d’Enseignement de l’Ostéopathie du Québec is one of the pioneers in osteopathic training in Quebec. Here are 5 good reasons to study osteopathy at IEOQ!

1. Full-time or part-time in-person training

Osteopathy is a hands-on profession, and we believe that the human approach begins with the training of the future practitioner.

That’s why we prioritize in-person learning, ensuring full immersion and optimal supervision. While distance learning and working from home may have some advantages, it is necessary for students to go beyond simple knowledge assimilation.

Our educational approach meets the Anglo-Saxon and European reference standards of the World Health Organization, as well as the guidelines of the Office des Professions du Québec, which recommends in-person instruction for osteopathy (October 2020).

Our goal is to anticipate the requirements of the future Order of Osteopaths of Quebec in terms of rigor and seriousness.

2. A professionalizing school

Ideally located in Montreal (RCA Building – Place St-Henri metro), IEOQ aims to train competent osteopaths qualified in cranial, structural, fascial, and visceral osteopathic techniques. Our students benefit from extensive practical training thanks to:

  • A large number of hands-on practice hours in class and at our teaching clinic.
  • Internships that provide full immersion in the profession.

One of IEOQ’s major strengths is its teaching team, composed of active healthcare professionals from diverse backgrounds. Some of our osteopath teachers also hold degrees in scientific fields (biologists, biochemists, researchers, etc.).
