Osteopathy and Social Perinatal Care
2023/02/23
Since the fall of 2022, the weekly interventions of osteopathy students from the Institut d’Enseignement de l’Ostéopathie du Québec have been taking place at La Maison Bleue, social perinatality centers. Osteopathy offers numerous benefits for pregnant women, infants, and young children: relief from discomfort during pregnancy, preparation of the mother’s body for childbirth, management of infant body tension following birth, postpartum recovery, and more.
Student Testimonial
“Having the opportunity to do clinical hours at La Maison Bleue allows us to develop our ability to adapt to different situations. In addition to gaining experience with pregnant women and babies, we have the chance to help and provide relief to people who might not otherwise have access to osteopathic care. It’s a rewarding experience, both personally and professionally.”
— Marie-Michèle, Osteopathy Student
La Maison Bleue is a community organization based in Montreal that provides free support to pregnant women and families with young children. We are proud to contribute to the fulfillment of their mission throughout the year.
