3D Anatomy: Dissection Workshop at McGill
2025/03/30
As part of their training, our osteopathy students recently took part in an anatomical dissection workshop at McGill University. This immersive experience offered them the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the human body in a concrete, sensitive, and three-dimensional way.
Through this workshop, students were able to observe, in situ, the anatomical structures they study throughout their academic journey. While anatomy textbooks provide valuable 2D representations, nothing compares to the direct exploration of human tissues to truly grasp the relationships between organs, muscles, nerves, and fascia.
Our educational approach is built on the diversity of learning methods: anatomical drawing, palpation, modeling, case studies… and, when possible, dissection. Each of these activities enhances a global understanding of the body and contributes to the development of the clinical skills essential to osteopathic practice.
This activity reflects our commitment to providing our students with a rich and meaningful educational experience. We sincerely thank McGill University for their warm welcome, and our students for their curiosity, respect, and dedication throughout this learning opportunity.
